Rock Camp
Since 2009, the Walla Walla Symphony has partnered with organizations in the community each summer to present a free, week-long Rock Camp designed to give students entering grades 7-12 the experience of preparing for and producing a Rock concert.
In recent years, our partnership with Walla Walla Music Organization has played a key role in expanding the camp’s offerings and providing students with even more hands-on learning opportunities.
Through this partnership, young musicians develop their skills, collaborate with peers, and learn from professional musicians in a real-world production setting. During the camp, participants explore a variety of topics, including:
Instrument and ensemble coaching
Latin Drumming
Music recording and live sound production
At the end of the week, participants put on a live concert, where they showcase their work for friends, family, and the community.
