Leah Davis
General Manager
Leah Davis was born in Singapore, raised in Alaska, and lives in Walla Walla, Washington. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Columbia University (2003), a Master of Business Administration from Alaska Pacific University (2010), and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University (2019).
Leah was the Business Manager of the Anchorage Concert Association from 2005-2010 and was selected as a member of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters’ Emerging Leadership Institute Class of 2009. She has worked as the Finance Manager of Blue Mountain Heart to Heart, a high school English teacher in the Walla Walla and Milton-Freewater, OR public schools, and has been the sole proprietor of two businesses, one focused on writing and editing and one on accounting and bookkeeping for small businesses in the Walla Walla Valley. She has also served on the board of the Sitka (Alaska) Summer Music Festival and the council of Christ Lutheran Church (Walla Walla).
As a cellist, Leah began playing with the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra in 1997. She currently plays with the Walla Walla and Mid-Columbia Symphonies, as she has done since 2012, as a part of the FCC Ensemble at First Congregational Church (Walla Walla), and in a variety of ad hoc chamber music ensembles that assemble everywhere from her living room to local wineries. Leah believes that music is a powerful avenue through which to create meaning and connection and particularly loves projects that invite and recognize people whose voices have not always been centered in the world of classical music.
