ABOUT OKAN
OKAN takes its name from the word for heart in the Afro-Cuban religion of Santería. Led by Cuban-born musicians Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne, this JUNO Award-winning duo blends Afro-Cuban roots with jazz, folk, and classical influences.
Known for their powerful vocals and high-energy performances, OKAN brings a fresh perspective to Latin and world jazz fusion. Both artists are Grammy and JUNO nominees, and former members of Jane Bunnett’s group Maqueque.
